Betony Main proudly hails from Midland, Ontario on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay. She completed a BA in Theatre at York University where her studies included puppetry, theatre for young audiences and new play development. She has worked as a Historical Interpreter and educational facilitator at several Ontario historic sites: Discovery Harbour, Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons and Black Creek Pioneer Village. Her very first professional theatre job was as a Box Office and Administration Assistant at Solar Stage Children's Theatre. Recently, she was the Editorial Coordinator and Supervisor of Customer Service at Playwrights Canada Press. She has worked with Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People and The Canadian Stage Company. Betony is currently teaching highschool drama and visual arts.
